Camilla Blunden – Writer/Performer
Camilla has worked in Canberra for over 35 years as an actor, director, creator, and mentor. Organisations worked with include The Street Theatre, Jigsaw Theatre Company, Shortis and Simpson, Canberra Youth Theatre, Eureka! Theatre Company, CADS, The Ensemble Theatre Company, Theatre ACT, Bunch of Posers, About Face Theatre Company and Women On A Shoestring Theatre Company, a company she founded. She has also toured nationally with Playing Australia Support.
She has also appeared in training videos, commercials, and voice overs, does ongoing improvisational work in role plays for ANU School of Medicine and works as a casual educator at The National Film and Sound Archive. She is a Critics Circle and MEAA Green Room award winner and proud Member of MEAA since 1976.
Rochelle Whyte – Director
Rochelle has worked for the Sydney Theatre Company, the Melbourne Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Chamber Made Opera, La Mama, Playwriting Australia, University of NSW School of Arts and Media, University of Western Sydney (Theatre Nepean), Red Stitch Actors Theatre, and with artists on independently produced theatre and cross media/ cross art-form productions.
She is a graduate of VCA in Directing and of the University of Western Sydney (Theatre Nepean) in Performance and is now resident in Canberra.
Imogen Keen – Set + Costume designer
Imogen has worked in professional theatre production in Melbourne and Canberra since 1996. As a freelance stage designer and maker, she has worked on a wide variety of theatre, music and cross-disciplinary productions with companies including Urban Theatre Project, Polyglot Theatre, December films, Bird On A Wire, Jigsaw Theatre, Women On A Shoestring, Small Shows, Shortis and Simpson, Canberra Youth Theatre, Little Dove Theatre, Barking Spider Visual Theatre.
2009 to 2013 she was resident designer at The Street Theatre, for whom she completed over 20 productions. She has received Critic Circle awards for her designs and a MEAA Peer Acknowledgement Award.
Kimmo Vennonen – Sound Designer
Kimmo is involved in many activities combining music and electronics work. He specialises in sound design and CD mastering. His sound design work includes a radio play This River for Regional Arts Victoria with Canberra Youth Theatre, Elvis at 21 for QL2 (Dance) and the National Portrait Gallery, a variety of work with The Street Theatre, Jigsaw Theatre Company – The Blue Roof with a Sydney Opera House season, The Lost Thing by Shaun Tan, Vin, Pearl vs the World and Rolling Home, other dance work and with aerial artist Janine Ayres. He has a MEAA Green Room Award for “creative and innovative sound design.” With Jim Denley he won the prestigious Prix Italia for the ABC and has been an ANU visiting Fellow.
Gillian Schwab – Lighting Designer
Gillian graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2005 with a BA (Design Theatre and Television). She is the production Manager and Resident Lighting Designer at The Street Theatre and has contributed to many local and national productions in a range of capacities. In 2009 she co-founded the Crack Theatre Festival, an annual festival for emerging and experimental theatre artists. Her recent designs for The Street Theatre include: Where I End You Begin, Bartleby, Scandalous Boy, From a Black Sky, To Silence and numerous live music performances.
Lea Collins – Stage Manager/Operator
Lea has had a long career in the arts in a variety of capacities including as a Sound Designer, Composer and Educator. Companies she has worked for include Sidetrack Theatre, Legs on The Wall, Canberra Theatre Company, and international touring with the Party Line. With the Street Theatre she has worked in various capacities technical, stage management, front of House and as a creative.
